Karen Dionne talks to Rachael about her FABULOUS new book (Rachael loved it) and what it's like when a writer really has a room of her own (the answer might surprise you!). 

Karen Dionne is the author of the dark psychological suspense novel The Marsh King’s Daughter (June 2017, G.P. Putnam’s Sons), and three other novels. She is co-founder of the online writers community Backspace, the organizer of the Salt Cay Writers Retreat, and a member of the International Thriller Writers, where she served on the board of directors. She has been honored by the Michigan Humanities Council as a Humanities Scholar, and lives with her husband in Detroit’s northern suburbs.

Fiona Maazel is author of the novels A Little More Human (2017), Woke Up Lonely (2013); and Last Last Chance (2008).
Maazel is winner of a 2017 Guggenheim Fellowship and the Bard Prize for Fiction. Her stories have appeared in Conjunctions, Harper’s, Ploughshares, Tin House, and Best American Short Stories 2017.
She has taught in the creative writing programs at Brooklyn College, NYU, Adelphi, Princeton, Syracuse, Columbia, and the University of Leipzig, Germany, and is currently the Director of Communications for a legal nonprofit, Measures for Justice. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
